Tourists injured in Bus accident


Thirty-eight French tourists were injured in Jodhpur when their bus collided with another vehicle on Jodhpur-Jaisalmer bypass. The bus was en route from Jaisalmer to the state capital Jaipur at the time of the accident.

The bus driver, cleaner and a guide were also injured. The wounded were hospitalized at Mathura Das Mathur Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit and attended to by a 5 member team of specialists. The French Embassy has been notified. A number has been made available to the families for more information. Everyone close to the victims can call the following number: 04.70.02.55.00. The victims were members of the Committee of Social Works of Montlucon.

An Air France flight AF225 from New Delhi carrying the first victims of bus accident in India arrived home Wednesday morning at Roissy. Nineteen of the thirty-eight tourists from Montlucon involved in this tragedy took off at 0:30 from the Indian airport to Roissy-Charles de Gaulle.
