Polish Train Controller to be Charged

Why: The rail traffic controller in the Polish train crash will be charged with “unintentionally causing a transport disaster” Two trains collided in Poland, killing sixteen passengers and injuring 55. The controller allegedly directed one of the trains into the path of the other train by incorrectly setting the track mechanism. The train from Warsaw to Krakow was traveling on the wrong track. One Russian and an American were among the dead.

The term is 8 years if convicted.
