Poland Train Derailed

What: Passenger train en route from Warsaw to Katowice
Where: Poland
When: August 12, 2011, 16:15
Who: 1 fatality, 40 passengers injured, 280 aboard the train
Why: Two hours after leaving Warsaw, the train was in the town called Baby when the engine and three carriages derailed. The first carriage was destroyed, and lying on its side.

One passenger was killed. More than 40 were injured. Rescue crews assisted passengers out of the downed train. There were several severe injuries but an earlier report of four dead has been corrected.
