Pakistan Fuel Tanker Explosion

More than 100 people died after an oil tanker carrying 6,600 gallons of fuel from Karachi to Lahore exploded. After the tanker wrecked, hundreds of locals converged to gather fuel on the road, before it ignited. Victims outnumber hospital beds and an emergency has been declared. More than a hundred were injured, and a hundred and forty are dead. That number is expected to rise. Speculation is that the tanker’s battery, a cell phone or someone smoking ignited the fuel. Rescue operations are being handled by thePakistan Army in Ahmedpur Sharqia, Bahawalpur and Multan.
