28 Injured in Singapore Train Collision

A Singapore mass transit train crashed into another at Joo Koon station of the city state, on November 15th.

According to a joint statement issued by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and train operator SMRT, “At 8.19am, a second train stopped behind the first faulty train. At 8.20am, the second train moved forward unexpectedly, and came into contact with the first train.”

At least twenty-eight people were injured in the accident and were taken to hospitals.
