200 Injured in Seoul Subway Crash

Korea Train crashAround 200 people were injured in Seoul, South Korea on April 2, after a subway train rammed into the back of another one already standing on the station.

According to the officials, the initial investigation suggests a fault in the automatic distance control system of the train.

The bus driver told the authorities that he applied emergency brakes as soon as he saw the stop signal, however, the train did not stop in time.

A fire officer, Kim Kyung-su confirmed that 200 people were injured in the crash. Most of the injuries are minor, however 2 are in serious condition.

He further said that about 1000 people were evacuated after the accident.
